The farm welcomed over 20 staff from N Power and Lloyds last week to help us out with various jobs around the farm! We now have a lovely neat log pile which was long over due for a sort out! They also made us a brand new picnic bench as well as re staining our stable block ready for winter! August Already!

Our good friends from National Grid came to help us out at the farm again last week! They made us a new bench for the sea-side garden and helped us carry on with the log splitting. The team of 15 worked relentlessly through the day and considering it was the hottest day of the year so far with temperatures reaching 30 degrees we would like to give them an extra special thank you! Helping hands

The help is coming from all over and this time we were joined by staff from Lloyds banking group. They joined us on Tuesday to continue on some of the large projects started last week as well as continuing to help us with other projects at the farm! Check it out - Work on the new pig area has begun with removing some of the old fence posts which create a boundary to the farm field. Pigs are very good escape artists so we wanted to make sure that the boundaries are super strong to keep them in! Still working…

JLL come to the farm!

JLL (who provide professional real estate services/ investment) came to the farm in force last Friday! Over 55 people came to the farm to help us crack on with some massive jobs! Check out what they have been up to... One team began log splitting our huge pile of logs so that the split wood can be seasoned through the summer and will be ready to use in the log boiler to heat Berrys Cafe in the winter. We missed an October blog! Woops! As always another busy month at the farm has come and gone in the blink of an eye! The wood work groups have been busy making also sorts of spooky props ready for the Family Care Trust Halloween ball which was held on 31st October. We always start most of our blogs telling you how busy the past month has been but August has been spectacularly busy! The gardening teams have all been out keeping on top of local residents grass and hedges. The landscaping team over at CGS in Chelmsley wood have also been doing some pretty impressive garden makeovers as you can see below... A Pizza Oven!

Check out our new amazing pizza oven outside Berry's Cafe! A massive thank you to DHL for fundraising a huge amount for the oven and to Land Rover for building the base and fencing around it! The project workers are really excited to use it! We will be looking to build a BBQ next to it so that the decking facilities can be used for events in the future as well as just the Cafe! Vodafone at the farm

Two weeks ago a group of 25 employees from Vodafone came to the farm to once again generously give their time to help develop and complete some projects at the farm. The beach garden, decking, and some new staging for outside the green house were all on the agenda with everyone splitting into three teams. The weather was incredibly hot which made the tasks even more challenging! IMI come to the farm in force!

120 IMI employees made their way to the farm last week for three hours carrying out various make overs all over the farm. There was plenty of painting, demolishing, digging, bashing, pruning and drilling take place! A late February blog!

In our next blog we will hopefully be showing you some pictures of our new baby lambs! But as we write this they are still a week away from arriving and their moms are keeping us busy! We have set up lamb cam so that we are able to check on them through the night without disturbing them unless required.
