Due to their circumstances and conditions, adults with learning disabilities are at significantly increased risk of poor physical or mental health. They are also hugely underrepresented in the workplace and excluded from many areas of society.

Scope & Stability
The care system is in crisis, with dwindling support from local authorities and increased demand as well as costs. In the last 8 years alone, our per-staff wage and N.I. costs have gone up 53.2%. In that time, we have received just 27.5% income uplift from the local council (our main client).
Despite this huge shortfall, we have grown consistently year on year – expanding our services, staff team, and income while maintaining a stable foundation of long-term care contracts for our service users.
We combine reliable income from our core services (and commercial operations) with targeted grant funding. As a result, we are able to invest smartly and contribute to the community without putting our organisation at risk.
Our sustainable approach to land management and conservation also makes us more independent, protecting us against rising costs. In recent years, we have installed an 86kW solar energy system on the roof of our main training building and installed our own well.
