Braving Mother Nature!

Mother Nature decided to test us all in our preparation on sales day with torrential down pours all morning! However she sorted it out by the afternoon and we had a nice dry time welcoming everyone to the farm to see what we get up to and to purchase some of the things the project workers have been making/ growing. Thank you to all that came and gave your support! We couldn't do it without you and it means so much to the project workers to be able to show you what we do at the farm and for all…

This hot weather has really taken it out of the horses! They are now coming in during the day to deflate their chunky tummys before going back out again at night. The poo picking machine has been treated to some new bristles and is now doing its job even better than ever! It continues to save us a huge amount of time and is an amazing piece of kit! The blossom at the farm is almost in full swing and will open any day now! Hopefully we will have a great year for apples and other fruit grown on the…

New Arrivals

Welcome to our March blog, and what a lot of lamb pictures we have to share with you! A week earlier than expected our two of our lovely ewes decided to give birth to their lambs! The first ewe successfully had one lamb and the second ewe had three lambs! Because they had them so close together we were able to adopt one of the triplets onto the ewe who just had one, meaning that both ewes had two lambs each which was healthier for the ewes and the lambs. The adoption went really well and both came on leaps…

A late February blog!

In our next blog we will hopefully be showing you some pictures of our new baby lambs! But as we write this they are still a week away from arriving and their moms are keeping us busy! We have set up lamb cam so that we are able to check on them through the night without disturbing them unless required. The budgies have been enjoying the sunshine and yesterday enjoyed our leftover salad from Berrys Cafe! Over the last couple of weeks 4 employees from Landrover have joined us to give up some of their time to do some volunteering…

Wild warrior run success!

Wow! We are over whelmed with support we received and the donations given in aid of us completing the wild warrior run on 21st September. We had the aim of raising £1000 which would be used to buy a poo picking machine to use in the horse fields. We surpassed that target by miles and the total currently stands at almost £2200! This piece of kit will be a massive addition to the horse care team and will allow more time to be spent working with the horses and not just cleaning the fields. All those that completed the 10k…
